501(c)(3) nonprofit · $10 funds one eSIM

The journalists and medics you see reporting from Gaza stay connected with eSIMs from Watermelon Warriors.

Watermelon Warriors is a Palestinian-run US 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We fund eSIMs, digital SIM cards, for journalists, doctors, aid workers, students and civilians in Palestine, hand them out through partners on the ground and top them up within a monthly data allowance. Each $10 funds one eSIM.

How it works

  1. You donate

$10 through our partner Andalu, at cost.

  2. Partners hand it out

Clinics, schools and aid groups on the ground give the eSIM to someone who needs it.

  3. We keep it topped up

Automatically, within its monthly data allowance.

  4. You get a live page

Once it's switched on: when it was handed out, each top-up and the data used.

Donor questions

Can I change or stop a monthly gift?

Yes, any time, at andalu.com/donate/manage (opens in a new tab). Andalu's page also offers one-off and weekly gifts.

Where does my money go, and are there fees?

$10 buys one eSIM through our partner Andalu at cost, with no markup. The card processing fee is the only deduction from your gift.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes, for US taxpayers: we are a 501(c)(3) (EIN 99-4466024), so gifts are deductible as US law allows. Outside the US, check your local rules. You get an emailed receipt, and we can send a yearly summary of your donations on request. Many employers match gifts: ask yours.

What is the accountability page?

You get a live page for an eSIM your gift is helping keep connected, emailed once it's switched on. It shows the line's journey, its top-ups and the data used.

Who receives the eSIMs?

Journalists, aid workers, doctors, students and civilians in Palestine, through partner organisations on the ground.

Need an eSIM?

We do not hand out eSIMs directly, and there is no form to fill in. eSIMs reach people through our partners on the ground: humanitarian organisations, community groups, medical clinics and schools.

Ask a partner organisation, clinic or school near you. Or message us on Instagram. @watermelonwarriors.io (opens in a new tab)

@watermelonwarriors.io (opens in a new tab)
